We began as a nonprofit organization, initiating parenting workshops for low-income parents as the cornerstone of our cradle-to-career educational pipeline initiative in our neighborhood. Our flagship program, Baby University, has empowered over 900 graduates and supports 300+ parents annually through workshops and home visits. Partnering with Mosaic Family Zone, we extend our efforts to the early years (0-5) of a child’s life, ensuring a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
In 2023, we proudly launched Mosaic Early Learning Center as the next step in our pipeline.
Operated by Baby University, our center prepares children aged 0-5 for kindergarten readiness, emphasizing social-emotional skills. In South Toledo, where 84% of children often start kindergarten at a disadvantage, our mission is clear: to ensure all kids are 100% kindergarten-ready.
Kelly Kaiser, the founder and executive director of Mosaic Early Learning Center, has 17 years of dedicated service to low-income families in South Toledo. Her leadership ensures that our programs — from home visiting to economic mobility mentoring — are designed to uplift and empower parents and children. Since inception, we’ve grown from serving 15 children to 49, and now, with expanded facilities, our goal is to accommodate 70+ children.
